Relocation Assistance:
Financial relocation assistance is available for residents required to move. The relocation allowance is $2.00 per mile up to a maximum of $1,200. Mileage for reimbursement is based upon mileage figures from the Rand McNally Atlas.

Vacation:
Four weeks paid vacation per year.

Residents and immediate family are offered a shared cost health plan through the University HMO.

Disability Coverage:
Comprehensive long term disability provided at no cost to residents.

Professional Liability Coverage:
Coverage for professional activities scheduled by the department Residency Director is provided at no cost to residents.

Thirty-five thousand ($35,000.00) dollars of term life insurance is provided at no cost.

Tuition Reimbursement:
Partial tuition reimbursement of college courses for self, spouse or children at the University of South Alabama. Provided after six months employment.

Bookstore Discounts:
Ten percent discount on books and supplies.

Recreational Facilities:
Residents have use of the swimming pool adjacent to USA Medical Center, the gymnasium, and Student Recreational Center at no charge. Fees at the USA Brookley Golf Course are discounted for residents. Pro Health, a nearby health club, can be joined for a nominal fee.
